Mr Whalley

Year 6 Teacher

Welcome to Year 6 at Northbrook Primary Academy

Mr Whalley welcomes you to Year 6 and what is your last and hopefully most successful year of Primary School.

Year 6 is the final chapter of primary school and this year will be full of new responsibilities and opportunities, rewarding experiences and challenges.

It is an important and exciting year. As well as reaching your potential academically, there will be plenty of opportunities to take on important key roles within school that will equip you for your transition to high school.

Throughout the Year there will be lots to look forward to; celebrations, team events, performances, visits and visitors and of course our end-of-year activity week.

In Year 6, we work hard but also have fun along the way!

Important Information

Homework will be set on a Friday to be completed by the following Thursday. It will be set online, through Seesaw. In addition to homework set, children must read at least 3 times per week, this can be a combination of a variety of books.

Our PE days for the autumn term are Tuesday and Thursday. Full indoor and outdoor PE kit should be worn including appropriate footwear. Earrings should be taken out or covered with plasters
